Secret Way

Location: Mer Bleue behind strip mall at Innes at Blair

You'll be pleasantly surprised to know that tucked just behind Big Al's Aquarium Superstore and Corbeil on Innes Road, is the gateway to Narnia. 

Narnia in this case is Mer Bleue, and the expansive trail system therein. This is also where the Prescott Russell Trail begins. All that to say the Secret Way is the gateway to some amazing riding possibilities. 

One of my favourite discoveries in Mer Bleue is the Secret Science Boardwalk (will post segment here) and it's a good example of a destination within the area that's simply fun to check out. 

There's another entrance to this area off of Innes Road where Green's Creek crosses, and either work for finding your way in here. I prefer the entrance behind the Corbeil, simply for the contrast it offers. One minute you are in a parking lot and then next, you roll through some woods on single track and into a beautiful meadow. 

Where this segment ends on the map shown, you can either turn onto the Prescott Russell Trail, or go straight up into the Mer Bleue pathway system. Either way you utilize this segment, you'll love the access to the NCC land that this "Secret Way" provides.
