That Sweet little uphill behind ash woodlot

Back in 1994 when Frankenbike was new and still a mountain bike, I used to ride this hill in the Arboretum over and over again as cross-training for running. I've started riding it a lot again as of late and it hasn't changed a bit.

​It's a nasty, twisting little climb. It's good to carry some speed into the climb, but it corners pretty sharply as it starts to really rise and the gravel and dirt is usually pretty loose on this hill. After all these years I still haven't figured out the best gearing to get up this hill without experiencing a moment of inertia where the gradient peaks and as the climb corners near the top. There's some nice single track in the woodlot itself and there's other paths all over the place to explore here. It's a great place to kill an hour, or to pass through to other awesome places nearby like Carleton or over to Hogsback and beyond.
